Kia ora koutou

My family come from Italy and East Europe, via the UK and I have now lived in the Waikato for around 20 years. I have worked in the health and disability sector for all my career and currently work in the mental health sector. Both through family and my work I am aware of the impact of suicide on our communities. 

I have managed services both in the UK and New Zealand and been on various groups connected to the not for profit and social service sector and with government. I hope to use these skills to add to the Mates work. 

Through Mates I feel like I can share skills, connections and information that might be useful to those in the community, or those wanting to support people when they are feeling at their lowest. Mates is coming from the community and wants to work by providing connection and action. No question or request is too small if we can support one person.
